What is DECA?

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. The DECA program assists in developing academically prepared, community oriented, professionally responsible, experienced leaders. DECA has opened a lot of doors and given amazing opportunities for students. Even if you are unsure of your future plans, check out to see what DECA has to offer!

Opportunities for DECA members:

• Staffing the school store, all study hall hours and before/after school (competitive and noncompetitive members welcome)
• Competitive Career Development Conferences: districts, state and international levels. Past locations of ICDC have included: Salt Lake City, Orlando, Nashville, and Anaheim. 
• Supplemental conferences (to be announced each year). Past locations have included: Chicago, Wisconsin Dells.
• Involvement in fundraisers and community service events. Past events have included: Ballin' for Breast Cancer (see video below), Hoops for Troops, Sink Cancer, Shoot for A Cure, Bay Port vs. Cancer, Money City, The Blanket Project.
• Recognition from colleges for involvement in extracurricular business education.
